How many times have the Cons released "ads", only to never show up anywhere? Part of me hopes they do hit the airwaves, but I'm happy to see a realization that "free media" is available.
I've noticed when the Conservatives pay for TV play their ads show hugely on TSN and other sports networks. If the Cons believe those markets are friendly territory then it might be wise to have ads like these play there. Regardless of cost.
Do you know if these are to receive television airplay?
ReplyDeleteNo idea.

There are also radio ads and "print" ads, so I assume some expenditure.

ReplyDeletePrint ad.
I'm not sure these would be airing on TV. There's no "authorized by the registered agent" statement as is required for paid media.

ReplyDeleteWell, having the appropriate 'fine print' placed on an advertisement wouldn't be too taxing, would it?
ReplyDeleteThey're radio ads, people - not TV. This is stated on Liberal.ca
ReplyDeleteYou're right, print and radio, so the optical release is just for social media.
ReplyDeleteI thought this might be the case.
ReplyDeleteGlad to see they're being proactive finally.
Go gittem Iggy!
ReplyDeleteGood, and to the point.
ReplyDeleteNegative ads, but truthful. I like that.
Perhaps some more donations folks to help with the costs.
ReplyDeleteIt's a new year afterall.
I suspect there will be some mass email, using this issue to solicite donations.
