What one can say is a Harper majority is becoming increasingly unlikely while a Liberal majority although not likely is at least possible whereas I think six months ago most thought it was impossible.

I think it will be during the election that will ultimately determine the results since we still don't know what the ballot question will be and often those are based on recent issues than many of us might not anticipate.

As for what happened south of the border, I don't think Americans rejected conservatism so much as they rejected extreme conservatism and wanted a more moderate brand of conservatism. Considering Canada is more liberal than the United States, I think Harper needs to realize if he doesn't stop his rightward trajectory it will eventually come back and bite him.Monkey Loves to Fighthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05122291567543761919noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20358187.post-1163043373044655932006-11-08T22:36:00.000-05:002006-11-08T22:36:00.000-05:00"to a steep rise in Alberta separatism"Only in Can..."to a steep rise in Alberta separatism"

Only in Canada.Steve Vhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04871113039374739208noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20358187.post-1163041407635905702006-11-08T22:03:00.000-05:002006-11-08T22:03:00.000-05:00I think we can look forward - (well not really!) t...I think we can look forward - (well not really!) to a steep rise in Alberta separatism when the Harpocrit and his gang of Republicans are reduced to a rump in that province.Larry Gambonehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04965037776214596919noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20358187.post-1163037936458731082006-11-08T21:05:00.000-05:002006-11-08T21:05:00.000-05:00He looked good on CTV today. He looked good on CTV today.Steve Vhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04871113039374739208noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20358187.post-1163037213704686642006-11-08T20:53:00.000-05:002006-11-08T20:53:00.000-05:00Good, I look forward to a Dion government.Good, I look forward to a Dion government.Dr. Tuxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00930678454023644407noreply@blogger.com
