He Actually Said...

Harper, with a hilarious line, during his speech yesterday:
"I remind people that although this is a minority Parliament where the Liberals, the Bloc and the NDP hold most of the seats together, the fact is all they do is criticize," Harper said in a campaign-style speech to local Conservatives in Yarmouth, N.S.

"And as a consequence, all of the accomplishments of the 39th Parliament have been Conservative."

You want to see nothing offered, and "all they do is criticize", I suggest a quick scan of Harper's party, during the 37th and 38th Parliament. Harper has nerve, you have to give him that.

Isn't "criticizing," like, part of their job? A big part?

It's like a football player being angry about being tackled.

They don't call it opposition for nothing :)

The constant lies are hilarious - but, their supporters believe everything they say - how dumb can they be?

Shorter Stephen Harper: "It's not fair! Waaaa!..."

I wonder when the media will portray it that way?

...There's no more puling a whiner than Peevie Stevie.

So if the Cons are responsible for all that this parliament has accomplished, then what exactly are those accomplishments again? Standing up for Canadian values? Ummm, nope. Good economic policies? Ummm, nope. Accountabilty? But it doesnt apply to former PM's. Climate change? Oh right that's a left-wing loon conspiracy (right Fred?). Ok I'm stumped, tell me what those accomplishments are again?

Oh Stephen makes me chuckle sometimes. Next he'll say that everything that he's done that's hurt the country is the oppositions fault.

Huh? Gee, here I thought all those bills being held up in committee for a jillion days was due to the amendments being made by the opposition.

The man is a joke and a bad one at that.

Well Bill C-30 would have been a big accomplishment had Parliament not been prorogued.

Convenient, that....

All those nifty things you just labelled mean _absolutely nothing_. Good intentions like the "Three pillars" crap, but vacuous at best.

What do Canadians care about "Good economic policies" when the GST is dropped two points and taxes are reduced dramatically across the board? Squat.

What does your questioning "Accountability" mean when we've seen the PM kick out party members because they didn't follow the rules?

You tout the economists on tax cuts, but disregard them on the Liberal/Dipper/Bloc climate change plans?

I've yet to have any definition of "Canadian values" except as self-defined by the Liberal party vis-a-vie political wedges.

Here's my take; freedom, opportunity, equality. Where is the difference between the parties?

Cheers,
