Mock The Green Plan

The other day I made a snide remark about the new Conservative Green Plan. Scott Tribe at Progressive Bloggers was kind enough to come up with a display for bloggers to put on their site. Here is the link to the code, I think it a good way to address the absurdity:

Actually, it was Wayne our Prog Blog administrator who came up with the way to implement the clock in Flash at the site.. I merely made the suggestion to him that maybe we should try it.

Steve,

You're one of the more reasonable Liberal bloggers I've come across... so I'll put this point to you: do you find it the slightest bit hypocritical and "rich" for Liberals to jump all over Harper considering their record over 13 years in power? I just find it hard to Liberals teeing off on this one (the NDP and Greens I don't mind at all), after fucking off for 13 years, and doing nothing... here's my post on it if you want, where I make the point:

I would like to officially submit to the Liberal party and it's supporters that you absolutely cram it for 12 years, unless you're willing to preface every criticism of the Conservative's environmental plan with "Granted, it would take monumental creativity to imagine any environmental plan that could constitute a more abject failure than our own...".

Does that sound reasonable?

Olaf, point taken, to which I would respond I voted NDP last election primarily because of my perception that the Liberals failed on this file. I will not defend the Liberal record on the environment, because I view it as a complete failure. As an aside, one of the reasons I joined the Liberal Party a few months ago was because it seemed like there was a new urgency on the environment from the various candidates.

Olaf, you and I might disagree, given our political leanings, but I appreciate your comments and I hope you continue to offer other points of view.

Steve,

Can't fault you there... no matter how badly I want to.
