As an aside, the latest EKOS poll (pretty much the same horserace wise, although people may note the graph trend of Conservative support waning) shows overwhelming support for stimulus spending fairness.

You might want to rework that last sentence. It could be read as saying people rejected that favoritism is occurring not that they reject the idea that it's ok to show favoritism in how the funds are distributed.
I understood what you meant but this is the era of people seeing what they want to see (though maybe every era is like that ;).
