Yes, these people actually run our country:

Jesus Christ. I think for those of us actually paying attention to this lunacy it's high time to consider storming the Bastille.

It's to the point of frightening.

The government knows something we don't, and that is they expect and are preparing for massive civil unrest, and therefore the overkill preparedness like the G20 fiasco, the misinformation, thecavalier taking away of people's civil rights and liberties, the ongoing creation of a police state, etc. etc. Scary stuff, just like what the Harpercons are, and what all indications are that Iggy would be as well. When the staes sneezes we catch the cold...

"The individual feels more and more disoriented, confused, without direction, because all the means to satisfy his basic individual needs are out of his control and he is helpless in an apparently irremediable slavery of social exploitation by big business, big unions, and big governments, as well as by his own self-exploitation: due to ignorance, he sacrifices real values, like health, time, and peace of mind, for superfluous and harmful things he does not really need."

"Sometimes exploited humans do nothing but adjust."

Sorry about that Steve, but I published that last comment accidentally before I had completed the edit that it so badly needed.

I'll try again!

It's time that this Government's Crimes stopped being unreported.

I do see lately though that the Main Stream Media are losing patience with and seem to be less and less afraid of these Idiots. I can hardly wait for it to reach the tipping point and have this Dismal Government spiral rapidly and inelegantly downward in Flames.

Stockwell Day is the least qualified MP that I can name. It's not just that he has only a high school diploma, it is also that when I listen to him spout this kind of drivel,I always wonder how he managed to get through even that!

He is good enough for Harper, I suppose, but the answers he gave here are not good enough for Canadians. He inspires no confidence at all! He is vacuous!

Welcome to my world :)

This person proves ANYONE can be a cabinet minister.
Making-stuff up to suit their world view; Mr Day & his colleagues are not unlike a certain former Alaskan Governor. Perhaps if Canadians took a look at a this article from a fringe left wing media outlet (http://www.economist.com/node/16636027?story_id=16636027) they would see how this kind of prison policy is bankrupting US states. Folks might also be shocked to learn that Canada passed Germany & France and are closing in on China in numbers of people per capita behind bars
- or not.

And what's worse, Day is roundly considered one of the better performing Minister's in the government.

I was just going to mention that Steve. The PS considers Day one of the bright lights in the Harper cabinet along with... wait for it... Lisa Raitt.

Don't forget, that rising star Shelly Glover. If I was more religious, I'd swear we're near the end times.

We ARE in the End of Days; the end of the days of intellectual discourse in national politics.
BTW, correct me if I'm wrong but was the last questioner from Sun Media?
I could be mistaken, but I thought that line of questioning is grounds for dismissal at that particular organization.

They are going to make not reporting crimes illegal, and use the jails that way.

Jerry Prager said...

Of course, once you make statistics political, you don't need accurate data, you just declare policy to be truth, and make refuters criminal, and so fill jails that way too, unreported crimes, where you just get picked up and no one says anything out of fear they will be next.

Be afraid, very afraid, there might be an unreported boogie man under your bed so we need more prisons.

As Kim Leaman said earlier, I too am noticing the MSM is beginning to call the Reformatards out more on their crap. Strange as it may seem, Harper's war on statistics might just be what causes the business community to seek a change in leadership. A lot of business plans are made based on StatsCan's census numbers.
