Missing Person

If anyone has seen this man, please contact the Liberal Party of Canada and/or interested voters. He was last seen prior to the Israeli offensive in Lebanon. Thanks.

You should try contacting the Hungarian authorities. He is there with his wife and his very ill mother-in-law.

Ted,

Thanks for the info! I'm sure that we all sympathize with his plight and that of his wife and that we wish his mother-in-law well.

Still there are telephone, email, fax, snailmail, internet, aren't there, in Hungary? For someone aspiring to become the leader of this country and given the scope of the ongoing tragedy of the Lebanon-Israel crisis, surely Mr. Ignatieff could have taken a few minutes to address the issue.

I'm hesitating about writing this because I do think Ignatieff would be a Liberal leader I could be comfortable with and thus might be seen as defending my pick - but I think if he or any other candidate has, as Ted mentions, a family matter of this consequence then let him deal with it.

It might be an unhappy coincidence for his opponents like Bob Rae not to be able to use the tragedy unfolding in Lebanon for political gain (I suspect Ignatieff probably supports Israel's actions if his Afghan stance is any guide) but not a fraction as "unhappy" as a Beirut resident is right now.

I don't know but I guess "when last week" would be an important question given the rapidity with which this escalated.

I actually erased the comment. I''ll just give him the benefit of the doubt, initially I didn't know about the health angle.
