A cheeky reference to the gravy train too:

Love the accompanying clown music. This is a good ad.

I like our rapid response these days as well.

Exceedingly rapid. I don't watch a helluva lot of tv, but when I do I am not seeing any Conservative advertising. I see mostly NDP and a smattering of Liberal ads, but literally nothing from the CPC. Am I just missing them, or what?

I see Con ads, but it sure looks different that prewrit. Last election, Libs held their fire in the first two weeks, this time much, much different.

Do you have concerns about Senator Pam Wallin's involvenment on the Power and Politics war room debate panel tonight? Silver, Capstick and a sitting Senator? I believe there should be a Conservative partisan involved, but a sitting Senator? I think that's bullshit.

Well, the Cons must be holding their fire until the last two weeks because there has been very, very little CPC advertising thus far. At least down here.

I have seen quite a bit of Con advertising here in Ontario. I usually pause my PVR, then skip over them....

Omar, can confirm there's plenty of CPC ads on the teevee here in SW ONT - most are the same BS smear ads against Iggy we've seen the past two years - no mention of the NDP in any of them (since we know they are their friends).

But yes, Lib and NDP ads also now quite common.

The Libs are also running a TON of radio ads in Ontario.

One of the biggest disappointments I've had, was finding out, after the fact, that the Libs were well short of spending to the limit in 08. It cost us seats, our distribution was really poor, but we are going to spend right to the max this year and the fundraising has been exceptional so far.

You have to wonder if the Cons are waiting til after the debate to unleash a flood of attack ads either hoping to find a wedge issue, or to be the last image before voting day. Although I have seen ads, not as many as I would have expected.
All of them, to date, are character assassination ads. Guess 'we' Canadians want those and like this Americanization of our political system.

Being ahead, the Cons are probably holding back their advertising a bit, wouldn't surprise me.

Considering they probably sat on that leaked report for a while they probably had time to get the ad ready.

No liberal ads in Edmonton at all - though they would probably be just a waste of money. We mostly see NDP ads with a smattering of CPC ads.
