Stewart On Obama Visit

And of course the NP reacts in the typical sense of humor challenged conservative way.

The National Post is nothing more than an infomercial for the Conservatives. Today, Flaherty announced that the CBC "already receives a significant amount of public money each year".

I guess that is the price to be paid for objective journalism; if the CBC asks Harper some tough questions, he just tars them with the "taxpayer funded" tag to silence them. Pathologically typical.

With respect Steve, I thought the National Post's coverage of Shawinigate was some of the best satarization of political reporting I've read in years. I mean, taking a non-story and pretending day after day that it's Watergate...'twas hilarious. The NaPo has been a comedic publication for years, no?

That's true, and Ivison is a hoot most of the time. I'll miss those guys.

Steve thoughts on Ignatieff's dismissal of National Geographic as just a "foreign magazine" that he "doesn't take any lessons from"? (see the thread from the last post for more on that)

Does he take lessons from Canadian magazines then?

This coming from the guy whose 2006leadership platform had the most aggressive environmental policy. Talk about complete 180s and surrendering of principles.

Actually anon, Ignatieff said the not taking lessons bit, but the "foreign magazine" bit came from Jim Prentice.
