Mr. Baird also dismissed a Pembina Institute report released on Monday that said ‘turning the corner' undermined Kyoto targets and left dozens of questions unanswered.
“I do know the Pembina is a well respected group. I also know they helped write the Liberal plan,” he said.
John Baird finally admits the Liberals had a plan? Baird calls Pembina "well respected" and then tries to paint them as a partisan organ. If you were formulating policy, particularly one that is as complicated as the climate change file, is it not incumbent on the government to consult the experts? What horror, the Liberals took the advice of those in the know, to tackle the problem. Baird inadvertently praises the Liberals, because apparently they did "get it", if they adopted the direction, outlined by such a "well respected" group. What a silly attempt to deflect criticism. Does this mean Baird concludes that Pembina thinks the Liberals had a better climate change plan? Who helped write Baird's plan, since experts don't appear to be part of the equation?

That's the problem of course and a quetion he couldn't answer. I listened on line and he was all over the place. He's criticized for not consulting then criticises Lib's for doing so. He says the time for consultation is over, but he's going forward now, to consult, so he can flesh out his plan.
He sounded like a loon.
He spent more time going after McGuinty's brother than he did answering questions...oh and Dion of course too.
QP should be interesting.
"He says the time for consultation is over, but he's going forward now, to consult, so he can flesh out his plan.'
LOL, isn't that the amazing part. Baird goes ON and ON about the "time for action", "talking is over" and his entire plan relies on "further consultations".
Where can you listen online?
Here Steve. Look for meetings with a webcast symbol in the Note column.
Thanks knb. I had pretty much given up on that site :)
Best not to try and query the logic of Baird or Stevie; thats like trying to help rootless trees stand against a gale.

The Oil Patch.
You have to have some empathy for someone from Ontario who has seen Rusty Baird in action in the ON legislature. All the comments are an accurate reflection of absolute lack of intellect of this man. His responses are representative of his lack of depth of knowledge and the depth of his partisanship.
Tragic as it may seem his "replacement" in the ON legislature is equally pathetic. Her / his teeth baring mentorship was on display in QP today and yesterday. I really feel for the of the electorate in Ottawa Carleton. How embarrased they must be to be represented by this pair of harridans.
