"the believability advantage shifted to Ms. Dhalla"

One of the few MSM commentators who hasn't been circling the pool on Ruby Dhalla offers another seemly fair perspective.

Absolutely.!!
This is mostly a fabricated story. In the media it was transformed re-worded every single day which itself makes hardly it credible. these "nannies' were somewhat goaded used to make formal Complains and the cons. were salivating how it became a horror tale.
For me a few days ago Ruby's lawyer statements proved point by point the Complains were exaggerated if not lies .. Today I belive only Ruby's version .Totally and without doubts.
It was a political hack job orchestrated Kenny and Co...
if the comitte is still works on it... Kenny and his aide should be also testifying under oath...
This whole thing is a disservice for these people working through this program...

Kept your head well down on this story before now though Steve eh?

Like it or not, this is another Paul Martin parachuted candidate which has damaged the Liberal brand over time. Even if she's innocent on this one, the Bollywood video and the purse incident have created a public perception of her as more for the entertainment section than the editorial.

@Dame - how did Jason Kenney persuade the Toronto Star to run extensive coverage of this issue over several days?

I guess as a Conservative I should get all rabid.. but the reality? Who cares? Firstly, seems to me that the allegations are suspect, and secondly, so what?

Much ado about nothing.

I think you need to wait and see how this all shakes out, which was my initial position. The more we learn, the more we hear the other side, the less inclined I am to believe the initial allegations. It seems there are serious issues at play that are bigger than Dhalla, and it also seems that part of the dynamic here is inherent to systematic problems. What I find woefully inadequate, the way in which many in the media have ignored the clear factual counters, supported by evidence, and instead focused on the tone of a lawyer or other meaningless points, that have nothing to do with the substance.
