Ignatieff spoke at the YL meeting, the room was packed and very enthusiastic. Probably the highlight, Ignatieff made a passionate plea in favor of the OMOV resolution. Ignatieff said it wasn't his place to dictate, but he did say if there is one thing he wants to see come out of this convention, it's that OMOV passes. Ignatieff was quite animated, seeing this measure as another tool to draw ordinary Canadians into the party. The speech ended with Ignatieff putting on a Canucks jersey, which by pure coincidence had the number 23 on the back.
I don't have the exact numbers yet, but Ignatieff eluded to the fact that the convention attendance is better than expected.

What is the significance of #23?
Hopefully our 23rd Prime Minister.
You sure that was purely coincidence, Steve?
23rd Prime Minister :)
Delegate total is well over 2000, with observers 3000 attendance is being floated, which far exceeds expectations.
The policy think tank session on 'Canada and the World' I am currently watching is very good. Bob Rae, Bill Graham, Lord Alderice and Denis Coderre offer up informed and thoughtful commentary that makes me hunger for the end of the nefarious government we currently endure.
I watched quite a bit of the foreign affairs portion - unbelievable how much more intelligence and understanding Rae, Graham, et al have of international matters.
The Cons look like dumbies in comparison.
Jane Taber thinks the Convention is boring - I guess she couldn't round up any unhappy gossipy people.
Amazes me that the media think a Liberal Convention is purely for their entertainment and party time.
No anonymous Liberals with bad news ;) The funniest thing I've heard today is Joan Bryden saying that Liberals are calling it the Seinfeld convention. Ummm, that would be YOU guys...
Apparently 2500 Liberals here from what I'm told.
I know it's a little lat, but if anyone's interested I have some shakycam video of Ignatieff's YLC speech over at my place:
